Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

1. Introduction

Klokkit ("we", "our", or "the app") is a time tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your information.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information — name, email address, and hashed password (or OAuth provider ID if using Google sign-in)
  • Time tracking data — clock-in/out timestamps, pause/resume events, break durations, workspace assignments, and duration calculations
  • User preferences — timezone, week start day, default workspace, and workspace settings (colors, icons, daily targets)

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

  • Provide and maintain the time tracking service
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account
  • Generate daily, weekly, and heatmap summaries of your work hours
  • Calculate target progress, break time, and overtime
  • Send password reset emails when requested

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely using encrypted connections and industry-standard security practices. Passwords are hashed using secure one-way algorithms — we never store plain-text passwords.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. We do not use analytics trackers, advertising networks, or data brokers.

6. Cookies

We use only essential session cookies required for authentication. These cookies are strictly necessary for the app to function and cannot be opted out of while using the service.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access all data associated with your account
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your time tracking data

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
